Club Events

We organize various types of events in order to help achieve our goals of serving our community and helping those in need.  We host seminars to educate both our members and the public on specific topics. Our fundraising events help us raise funds for different communities and non-profit organizations. And last but not least, we organize social events to enhance our team spirit and to show that volunteering and giving can also be fun!

2024-2025
  • Mothers and Fathers Celebration Luncheon, to offer free lunch for seniors (May 22, 2025)
  • Youth Charity Talent Contest, together with the Vancouver Point Grey Leo Club (February 22, 2025)
  • Care of Children Night, dinner celebration and fundraising (January 24, 2025)
  • Launched the project of making the ‘Calendar 2025’ (October 2024)
2023-2024
  • Arranged the ‘Free Luncheon for Seniors 2024’ (March 1, 2024) 
  • Organized the ‘Red Christmas Fundraising Dinner 2023‘ party to celebrate Christmas (December 15, 2023)
  • Launched the project of making the ‘Calendar 2024’ (October 2023)
2022-2023
  • Arranged the ‘Year of Rabbit, Free Luncheon for Seniors 2023’ (February 5, 2023)
  • Organized the ‘White Christmas Fundraising Concert 2022‘ party to celebrate Christmas (December 11, 2022)
2021-2022
  • Organized a fundraising night, ‘Fun and Fundraising Night for Seniors 2021’ (December 11, 2021)
  • Arranged a ‘Senior Free Lunch’ for seniors (May 21, 2022)
2020-2021
  • Online Fundraising Sing Along: over $7000 raised. (March, 2021)
  • Pet Therapy Educational Seminar (by Gloria Yu, January, 2021)
  • ‘When do you need denture?’ Educational Seminar (by Dr. Robert Loh, December, 2020)
  • Cookie sales, December 2020: Beneficiaries of funds raised included Lions Foundation of Canada ($1,000), Villa Cathay Care Home Care for Seniors Day Event ($1,500), Food Bank of Canada ($500) and Pets and Friends ($500).
  • Supporting Vancouver Metropolitan Lions Club $300 (November, 2020)
  • ‘My Passion for Art’ (by Celia Leung (November, 2020)
  • Cloth Face Mask Project,  raising $10,000 for Villa Cathay Care Home (October, 2020)
  • Launched our first fundraising project making face masks and selling cookies during COVID-19 pandemic (October 2020)
  • ‘How to apply for funds from the government’ Educational Seminar (by Anthony Lyons, October, 2020)
  • Talent Show by members,  raising funds for Dog-Guides (September, 2020)
