Undeterred by the social gathering restrictions brought on by COVID-19, we moved our fundraising activities online as the need to raise funds for those in need got all the more urgent during the pandemic.

The Spring 2021 Fundraising Sing Along event was organised for anyone who wanted to help those stricken by the COVID-19 pandemic in our community while at the same time have some karaoke fun. Participants with a wide range of singing abilities – from semi-pros with full-on make-up and costumes to aspiring beginner vocalists singing along original tracks – took the stage to show off their talents. The success of the performances was measured less so on their artistic and technical merits but more so on the singers’ desire to express their compassion through their songs.

A few dozens took part in the event and over $7000 was rasied.
